Dead friend Zoe is a dark comedy drama that follows Merit’s journey (Sonequa Martin-Green), a veteran of the US Army in Afghanistan, contrary to his family, thanks to Zoe’s presence (Natalie Morales) the army. Despite the tough love of Morgan Freeman, Morgan Freeman, mother (Gloria Reuben) and interest in unexpected love interest, Merit keeps the duo from the world with Zoe. Until Merit’s alienated grandfather (Ed Harris), not placed in the ancient lake of the family, loses his way and needs one thing he denies. The point is that this is a buddy movie about a complicated friendship, a shared family, and a complex way of processing mourning.
